Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou born Beaumont, at Puy-deDomme, France on the 9th of August 1976. Audrey Tautou is the fourth child among four children. From a very young age, her dentist doctors parents and teacher mother encouraged her passion of drama and theater. This passion that overshadowed her initial wish to become a the first primatologist. Her fame grew as a child actor quickly and enjoyed enormous achievement. It was only at the age of 1999 the year she first began performing professionally. After her studies, Tautou took part in the French television show for talent scouting called Jeunes Premiers. Tautou went to church and Institut Catholique de Paris during her youth, however she now dissociates herself from the aforementioned societal influences. Modeling and acting are interspersed. Tautou was the model for L'Oreal Mont Blanc Chanel, and is often referred to as The Chanel Muse. Recently, at the Arles Arts Festival she exhibited an array of photos under the name Superficial. Her work focuses on celebrity and the fame. The exhibition also includes portraits of herself and focus on journalists that have been watching Tautou's career since her dramatic popularity following Amelie. Audrey Tautou's debut part, playing Amelie Poulain's main actor in Le Fabuleux d'Amelie Poulain, brought her fame to the world. Amelie achieved international success on the screen and was awarded awards across the globe. Amelie is the most successful French film of the French language across the US. Following this massive success, Tautou was later cast in many films such as British dramatics, such as Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Long Sunday of fiancailles. Tautou also appeared alongside Tom Hanks in Ron Howard's The Da Vinci Code directed by Dan Brown.
