Felicity Jones is a British actress most popular for her performance as Jane Hawking in the critically acclaimed movie The Theory of Everything. Jones has been an actress since she was 12, has appeared in various TV series and movies. Her first professional role was in the TV film The Treasure Seekers. Her next role was that on Ethel Hallow another television show that was titled The Worst Witch and its sequel Weirdsister College. The first film she appeared in, Flashbacks of a Fool was a film that featured her as Young Ruth. Since then she's appeared in numerous films. Her popularity grew due to her performances in films like The Invisible Woman and The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The role she played in The Theory of Everything was what earned her her first Oscar nomination. The biopic is based on the life of physicist Stephen Hawking, and Jones was highly praised by viewers and critics for her impeccable portrayal of Hawking's initial wife. In the following film, she was Inferno a thriller starring Tom Hanks. A group of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles awarded Jones with the British Artist of the Year in 2016 for her exceptional performance and contribution to film.
